The Editorial Team of the Saga Journal solicits potential contributions to our fan journal. We welcome completed academic papers focused on practically any aspect of the Star Wars film saga.
Papers will be reviewed by two members of the team, with the addition of a third in the case of a disagreement, and will be accepted or rejected based on the agreement of two team members. The Editorial Team reserves the right to accept/reject all submissions for any reason(s) it deems appropriate. Upon acceptance, essays will enter the editorial process, which may entail copy-editing to match the journal's standards, or more substantive suggestions for changes, depending on the recommendation(s) of the team member(s).
Any papers with a notable number of errors in grammar, spelling, punctuation, and the like will be rejected. Any papers that do not hold to a quality standard of writing will likewise be rejected.
All essays must be at least 1,500 words long. A Works Cited section, with at least three different non-Star Wars sources referenced, is required; the team accepts a variety of documentation styles. (If quotations should go beyond "fair use" as defined by current copyright law, authors will be responsible for obtaining any necessary permissions.)
